My sister said something like this last night to my nieces, and my dad has commented often enough on such statements that I know she says things like that to my nieces often. These girls love their vegetables. They were pretending to be my twin babies last night as they ate dinner, and I would feed them their (incredibly delicious) shells stuffed with butternut squash and ricotta cheese. But I had to fend off the bites of cauliflower and broccoli that they were shoving into their mouths in between. They were not waiting for me to feed those to them. They just grabbed at them and wanted to eat them. And they both had a bowl of spinach, and then wanted more after that. These girls know what is good for them and they love it.
