I was driving work this morning, and looked out and saw a yard covered in dandelions. Dandelions are admittedly not the prettiest flowers, though they do have a certain appeal when they are gone to seed and can be blown. Those are pretty, but the regular yellow blobs are not that attractive on their own, but seeing a lawn full of them, they just looked very pretty to me, and it just made me happy.
In our front yard, we have tons of purple flowers. There stereotypical all green lawn that is supposed to be the object of suburban desire is one that is left without the raw allure of a field of dandelions and purple flowers mixing in with the grass.
If I went home from work when it was still light out, I'd go and take pictures to put on here and show you. Maybe Thursday or Friday I will, but we'll see.
(Also Paraxade and Miles looked at my blog, and were sad to see that I hadn't updated it to our most recent WoF speedrun, we hit 3:03 :O :O :O. Maybe one day we will get sub-3!!!!)
